Happy New Year! Great News…

Happy New Year!  2017 is going to be a great year with lots of things happening.

So I began this piece in October, but one thing lead to the next and this is as far as I have gotten.  The ice is my nimesis right now, but it will get done.  My goal is to finish this by the end of the month.

Both Tim and myself have been working non-stop to get things going this year and we have a jam packed schedule.  We are looking forward to what the year is going to bring and we have a few announcements.

The FIRST is I have started a daily vlog on YouTube called Hangin w/ Wen.  I take you along throughout my day even when we go places.  Sometimes unexpected things happen and it is just funny to watch.  Then there are those days when not so much happened, but I am hoping to get a balance.

I started the vlog so that I can have some accountability and motivation to get the stuff done that I keep putting off.  I am also using it as a learning experience for editing video.  So far, I have uploaded 3 videos and you can already see improvements in the editing from the first one.

If you watch the Vlog, you will also be able to keep up with my SECOND announcement.  I am working with time to get a Kickstarter launched by January 15th.  So keep an eye out for his announcement on his Snazzy Penz Blog and Facebook page.

Finally, my last big announcement is I will be starting a YouTube Channel for my art.  My goal is to launch it on February 1, but we will have to see if my other deadlines get met or not.  I have already been recording material, but nothing is quite finished.  I plan on showcasing speed art and later in the year start tutorials.  We will have to see where it takes me, but that is the plan so far.

My website and blog will be updated more frequently this year.  My goal is to write a blog at least once a week.  I will also have a new blog post every time I upload a video as well.

I want to have more extensive information on the website as well.  I am still in the planning stages for that, but I know that I will have a supplies page coming very soon.  This will include all the supplies that I prefer to use in all of my art pieces.

To add to everything else, I am also going to have a more active presence on social media.  This will be a huge learning curve since I don’t currently post anything on any of them, but know that it is necessary to continue to build my brand and reach my goals I set this year.

So far I am planning on facebook, twitter and instagram.  I don’t use twitter or instagram much so there’s that, but I am going to learn and become proficent very quickly apparently.

I want to take a moment and thank everyone for their support and encouragement throughout this process.  It has helped me to make the decision to jump in with both feet and not look back.

I have lots of learning to do, but I am up for the challenge and look forward to see what 2017 has in store for me and beyond.
